My Beading Routine

Still busy farming, still busy enjoying summer, and still busy beading necklaces - my life is good!

I work, or should I say play because I have so much fun, beading necklaces daily.

My routine is as follows:

First, I decide on a color, or a specific gemstone/stone, or a finished length to compliment my current inspiration. My inspiration comes from many sources....my farm, childhood memories, events, places...mainly,  my ideas pop into my head as I relax in the serenity of my farm.

Next, I lay out a combination of beads in a pleasing composition.  And, I observe.  I walk away, return, and observe again. If I am not totally satisfied, I make changes to the beads/bead order that seem more appealing.  And, I walk away again.  Eventually, I am 99.9% satisfied with the color, bead choice, and layout.  I string the beads onto professional quality beading wire and make a final observation before finishing both ends.  The finishing includes with some variation: crimp beads, accuguards (further protects the beading wire at the clasp), crimp covers and clasp.

Voila!  Another unique, original, one-of-a-kind necklace which I brand - necklaces…simply stated.

I have made over 120 necklaces using no patterns and making no duplications over the past 11 months.  And, I am still having a great time doing so.

My latest creation….Friendship Sparkle

I just love it.  What do you think?
